One of the most important things for me when working is having the right tools. So, let's start with my main device - the computer.
Computer
Name | Detail |
---|---|
OS | Windows 11 64-bit |
Proccessor | Intel Core i9-13900k 13th Gen |
RAM | 64GB 4800Mhz DDR5 |
GPU | Radeon RX 6800XT 16GB GDDR6 |
Storage | NVMe M.2 2TB Samsung 990 Pro |
Hard Drive | 2x WD Red NAS 8TB Drives |
This build may not look great, is dusty, and doesn't have watercooling, RGB fans, or anything like that, but it is an absolute beast of a PC. It runs incredibly fast and smooth and is almost instantaneous completing a task like opening an app! It's perfect for programming, even for larger or heavier projects.
I can almost never run out of the 64 GB of memory. When forced to use my school laptop when I go outside to work, I can see the huge performance difference.
Support Device
I have a HP Pro x360 Fortis 11 inch G10 loaned to me from my school district. This is the only work companion I can work with from anywhere, but it's slow, has a bad battery life and is just frustrating in general. Around October, a month after it was given to me, I re-imaged the OS to a lighter version of Windows 11 without all the bloatware and tracking software the school puts on it. While this is in violation of the contract, they re-image the OS to their version every summer, probably without checking what is already installed.

The one good thing about this laptop is that it comes with a stylus and a touchscreen and a place to put the stylus inside the laptop so I don't use it. I use this laptop for design purposes sometimes.
I also have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is easily the best phone I've ever had.
Display
I used to have a dual monitor setup consisting of two 1080x1920 displays, but in early 2023, I switched to a 42 inch OLED C2.
The C2 is a wonderful screen that is just the right size for my desk and my viewpoint and it's screen is very friendly and aesthetic to the eye.
